New quadtych leather mosaic abstract photos.

Howdy everybody, Merry Christmas!

Here's the pix of that greyscale quadtych I was talking about doing at Lisa's.

Once framed, I'm not sure if they'll be displayed linearly or on a square as pictured.

Any suggestions?

Happy Holidays!

Phil

  1. The way you have all of the squares laid out makes me think of M.C. Escher. It's really cool! I think you should attach them like a square because it gives it a continuous flow. If they were linear, I think it wouldn't be as exciting.

If you feel ambitious enough, I think it would be cool to see this with more of these squares. It would make it a cool optical illusion that people could get lost in. Almost like a giant leather quilt that takes up an entire wall. You like taking up wall space, right?

I like the abstract shapes –keep it up because it’s awesome! Do you see this possibly leading to a new series?

  3. I'm still debating.

I'm thinking of laying them flat on thin masonite and using a black metal thin line frame like the ones used in photography or...

I could wrap them around a 1" thick stretcher bar which will make the composition smaller 1 1/2" on each side. (overall by about 3") but it gives the work more dimension.
