Hey Everyone, I thought I would post up this stop motion I did for a photo class. It's all stencil work, and I used spray paint and newspaper. Stop motion is a fun thing to try out if you haven't. After watching Micheal's and Phil's stop motion videos it reminded me of this street artist, Blu. For those of you that haven't seen this video, please enjoy.

  1. Tony this is super!.. Do more stuff like this, I think I'm going to do some stop action in my Creative Process class! This has given me some new ideas. The Graffiti mural is neat I'm still trying to figure out how they did it

  2. Wow! That was pretty cool! How does this work (sorry, I’m very art illiterate when it comes to making things, especially with the computer)? Do you just record yourself or do you have to keep setting the camera on a timer? Afterwards, do you edit it all with a specific software or computer program? Is this a Mac thing? I think it’s awesome and very useful in the contemporary art world today.

  5. I used a program called flash, all a stop motion is- a ton of photos put together so it looks like a video. For my stencil project, all I did was set the camera on a tripod, and worked on the piece, every so often I would take a photo- I used a film camera so I didn't have a electronic remote. Or a self timer, I had to have my roommate clicked the shutter for me. Anyways after that I just got all the photos together and sequenced them in the right order, then I used adobe flash to make it into a stop motion. There are a ton of programs out there that can make this happen, it is not a mac specific thing. Very easy to do.
