The Dirty Bird Lounge

Hey Guys,

Thursday evening I went to the Dirty Bird Lounge off of Mission St., Hayward to attend alumnus Victor Salazar’s opening reception. Rene went to the opening too! The exterior of the place was a little, um, ghetto, but the interior was really nice since the place had been redone.

Seeing a series of work displayed in a bar setting was cool because it helps to enhance the atmosphere of the bar itself and of the artwork on display. I wanted to take more pictures, but my non-iPhone-cell phone isn’t that great for pictures. I think most of you know Victor, but if you haven’t seen his paintings or if you want to go to a bar close by to the school, you should check it out!

  1. wow...you say ghetto I say "Good times"..Joking! this is the kind of place I lived in when I was in high school..I think its great that Victor is finding unusual venues for his work. Neon and art a great combination.
