Claire Morgan

I found an Irish artist, Claire Morgan, who creates sculptural installations of geometric shapes and natural processes using organic materials, plants, and animals (leaves, strawberries, birds, insects, etc.) and hangs each by string. Some of her works remind me of Kathleen's post on the "fly art."

  1. WOW WOW WOW!
Amazing work, I can't believe she hangs that many things, I would really want to know her process- either she hires other people to hang it? Assistants? Do the strings move? So Beautiful, and very cool that she forms huge shapes with such small things (flies). Cool Post Liz.

  3. Liz, awesome post! I really liked the one with the strawberries and noticed that the artist likes to use them a lot. I wonder how long it took before they got all moldy.

    Btw! this is pretty awesome.

There are definite similarities to Richard's work. But... Claire is different in that she uses dead things O_O

  6. I really like Berger's aluminum couch. It looks like it's dissolving into the background. Very cool.

I just copy and paste the website onto the blog entry thingy and it automatically becomes a link, though there are times when it doesn't. It's weird...yay link demo next class, lol
